Featuring a 14 megapixel sensor, the Optio S1 offers a wide-angle 5X optical zoom and a 2.7” LCD display, which eases the process of image and video capture and playback. High-definition video capture at 720p, face detection, blink detection and smile capture make it easy to capture the images.

The camera also comes with a sensor-shift shake reduction system, which allows users to capture telephoto and low light images. The sleek capture device also comes with a new feature, the High Dynamic Range (HDR) for capturing fine detail in wide-exposure images. Furthermore, it can be used in its Auto Picture mode or operated through an infrared remote control, which is not included with the camera. The Optio S1 digital camera is available in glossy black, striking chrome and glossy green.
