Samsung today announced that 10 new digital cameras will be added to the company's New Zealand range in mid-April, including one that can connect with the Samsung Galaxy S to make the phone into a viewfinder. The cameras being sold include a Wi-Fi enabled SH100, which can connect to a Samsung Galaxy S smartphone so the shutter can be controlled remotely. Photos and video can also be uploaded wirelessly straight from the camera to social networking sites or sent to email addresses. The SH100 has a 14.2MP sensor and 5x zoom.
Samsung also announced the WB700, an "ultra-slim" compact camera with 18x optical zoom and a 14MP CCD sensor. The SH100 will retail for $399 and the WB700 for $499. Samsung is also updating its PL, ES, and ST ranges.
