Casio, like many other camera makers, likes to offer a lot of point-and-shoot cameras that are affordable. The new Casio EXILIM EX-ZS100 is just the latest camera from the Japanese maker which they plan to launch this August 18th. The new ZS100 is a good example of the give and take battle between point-and-shoot cameras from the same maker.

The ZS100 is priced about the same as the recently released Casio EXILIM EX-ZS15, the two also have the same 14.1 megapixel CCD sensor (1/2.3-inch) and similar styling, but the two cameras have a two major differences. The two cameras have don’t share touchscreen LCD’s and they don’t share the same zoom capabilities; the ZS100 has 12.5x optical zoom and the ZS15 has just 5x, the ZS100′s 2.7-inch LCD isn’t touch-capable and the ZS15′s 3-inch LCD is touch-capable.
